Day One - It All Starts with God
"For everything, absolutely everything, below, visible and invisible,... everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him." Colossians 1:16
The purpose of life is far grater than your own personal fulfillment, your peace of mind, or even your happiness. It's far greater than your family, your career, or ever your wildest dreams and ambitions. You are born BY his purpose and FOR his purpose. You are made by God and for God, and until you understand that, life will never make sense.
Day One - Thinking about my purpose
Points to Ponder: It's not about me
Verse to Remember: "Everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him." Colossians 1:16b
Question to Consider: In spite of all the advertising around you, how can you remind yourself that life is really about living for God, not yourself?

Post a CommentI think the message in this, is that we need to come to terms with the fact we were not born to be selfish, we were born to serve God and live in his image, and abide by his laws. What I took most from todays leason is that I get so caught up in what this world thinks of me I lose track of where I need to be and what I need to be doing to serve God. He said do not live in fear, and we all do. We fear what others will think about us if we sever God whole heartedly so we hold back.
My answer the the question is this: Try looking at each day has a purpose for him. That in each and everyday he has something that he wants us to do. Also think of each thing we do as doing for God. Don't look at it as working for the man, look at it as working for God, cause in that, his plan for us will transpire. Look not at it as "I have to do this" but as "I will do this in and by the grace of God." Anyway guys, this is my thoughts on today's purpose.
